Hon. David K Turya Mureeba PE was born in Kabale Uganda. He graduated from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. As a new college graduate he immigrated to the United States in search of freedom, security and employment opportunities. A businessman, entrepreneur and humanitarian, David founded GECII Dallas, TX and serves as Uganda’s Honorary Consul to Texas and several southern states. David serves as the Chairman of the Board for UADC. He is focused on working across borders to help Ugandans in Africa and the United States through humanitarian initiatives.

HON. DAVID K TURYA MUREEBA

Susan Skorburg was born in St. Louis Missouri and studied at University of Missouri. She has served in management and executive roles in the Financial Services, Media and Engineering industries. Her experience as a business analyst, director of programs. operations executive, compliance officer, sales, marketing and procurement officer allow her to wear many hats at UADC.

Susan is mission driven. Her experience working across domestic and international markets and leading projects that impact all functional areas of major corporations allows her to contribute to UADC’ in the areas of Corporate Governance, Organizational Management, Marketing and Public Relations and Project and Program Development .

SUSAN C SKORBURG

Originally from Kisoro District Uganda. Joan studied in Uganda, the UK and the United States. She has a Masters degree and Doctorate degree in Social Services. Joan advocates for people in need. She is an analytical problem solver, disciplined and works well under pressure. She has served in many leadership roles in business, 501( c) (3) NGOs and non-profit organizations. Her role as a UADC Board Member and CFO allows her to use her knowledge and skills to participate on project teams that committed to serving others in the United States and Africa.

JOAN BAVUGA PhD

Hon. Duke Hamilton Jr. was born in the United States. He graduated with a degree in Physics and Math from Macallister College in Minneapolis, MN. He completed advanced studies in the Masters of Electrical of Engineering program. He has conducted research, taught, performed and supervised systems engineering. He has performed essential projects in the IT/Telecom and Transporation industries. He has founded and directed several companies that perform domestic and international systems design, implementation and project management. Duke’s background as a businessman, entrepreneur and humanitarian leader is an asset to UADC and its beneficiaries.

DUKE HAMILTON JR

Father Ezama Ruffino PhD. Was born in Arua, Uganda. In addition to serving on UADC’s Board of Directors, Dr. Ruffino currently serves as a Catholic priest and Missionary working on behalf of the Comboni Missionaries, an international Catholic organization dedicated to ministering to the world's poorest and most abandoned peoples.  Fr. Ruffino left all comforts so he could fully connect with the people he served in East and West Africa. He speaks 9 languages.

Since 2009, he has served In Cincinnati on the provincial council as the mission director, helping coordinate mission appeals, and visiting parishes and schools.  In recognition of his outstanding leadership qualities, Father Ruffino was appointed as the North American Province’s Leadership Team Coordinator (Provincial Superior) in January 2020.

Father Ruffino has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Urbaniana University in Rome, Italy, and his Master’s degree in Philosophical Anthropology and Bachelor’s degree in Theology from the Gregorian Pontifical University in Rome. He also holds a Religious Studies diploma from Alokolum National Major Seminary. His academic pursuits culminated in a PhD in Philosophy from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda.

As a Board Member of UADC, Ezama’s leadership skills, knowledge and wisdom, and strong communication and interpersonal help UADC connect with people throughout the world to build long term relationships that will help us serve the needs of under served communities.

EZAMA RUFFINO PhD

A strong Board of Directors is required to ensure UADC remains aligned with its mission and vision. Leaders guide strategic planning, set long-term goals, and help us focus pn our core purpose despite changing environments and challenges.

Leaders of a non-profit are expected to establish policies ensuring legal and ethical integrity, holding the organization accountable to stakeholders, including donors, beneficiaries and the public.
